How we rank

Ordered by price. Never by what anyone pays us.

The full method, what we get paid, and the rule in the build that stops payout touching the order.

What we get paid

Some providers we list pay us a commission when a reader signs up with them. Others pay us nothing and are listed anyway. We do not accept payment for a position, and no provider has ever been given a higher placement in exchange for money.

We think the honest way to say this is plainly, at the top of every page that carries a commercial link, rather than in a footer nobody reads. A reader who discovers a commercial motive after the fact is right to discount everything they just read.

How the order is decided

Today, the comparison table is ordered by verified ongoing monthly price, cheapest first. That is the only dimension we have independently verified for every provider on the page, so it is the only honest thing to sort by.

We are building toward a weighted score across six factors, and we will switch to it when — and only when — every input is verified for every provider rather than estimated:

  • Price transparency (30%) — is the real total cost stated up front, including the medication, labs, and consultation?
  • Price predictability (20%) — does month two cost what month one cost?
  • Fee model simplicity (15%) — one charge, or a membership plus a drug charge plus extras?
  • Formulation fit (15%) — what is actually dispensed, and is it clearly labelled?
  • Cancellation friction (10%) — can you cancel in the app, or only by phone?
  • Trust signals (10%) — regulatory history, disclosure quality, whether the compounding pharmacy is named.

Until those are verified provider by provider, publishing a weighted score would mean inventing precision we do not have. We would rather show you a simpler sort that is true.

The freshness rule

Every price on this site carries a verification date. If a price has not been re-checked against the provider's own page within 14 days, the software that builds this site refuses to publish that row at all. It is a hard stop in the build, not a reminder on a calendar.

This is why our table is sometimes shorter than other comparison sites'. GLP-1 pricing moved repeatedly through 2026, and a great many published comparisons are now simply wrong — we found one ranking page still describing a major branded-only provider as compounded. We would rather list four providers correctly than 22 providers as they were in March.

What we will not do

  • Tell you whether a medication is right for you. We are not clinicians and this is not medical advice.
  • Describe a compounded medication as equivalent to, or a generic version of, an FDA-approved drug. It is not, and saying so is the specific conduct FDA cited when it wrote to 30 telehealth companies in 2026.
  • Publish testimonials about weight-loss results, or before-and-after images.
  • Use countdown timers, fake scarcity, invented review counts, or the visual language of a news outlet we are not.
  • Quote a provider's headline price without saying what it excludes.

Corrections

If a price here is wrong, or a provider's terms have changed, tell us and we will fix it and say that we did: editor@thestraightanswer.com. We would rather be corrected than be stale.
